What are Microgreens?

Microgreens are young vegetable greens that are approximately 1–3 inches tall. They vary in taste, ranging from neutral, sour to spicy and contain large amounts of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Packed with nutrition, these herbs make a great addition to food - garnished, juiced or blended hot or cold.

What does the box contain?

2 x Magic Seed Quilt™
1 x Scissor
2 x Coco Coir Mat

2 x Grow Calender

Setup Instructions

  1. Turn the lid upside down and place it under the box.
  2. Soak 1 coir mat and 1 Magic Seed Quilt™ in the assembled box for 8-12 hours - and black them out using the sliding cover.
  3. After soaking drain the water and lift the inner tray using extenders. Keep the box blacked out.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of water in the bottom tray and mist the quilt to avoid drying up.
  5. Add cuts or tear off the top layer of the quilt once the seeds germinate.
  6. Mist and water regularly, following the Grow Calendar. Place the box in indirect sunlight when the blackout period is over.
  7. Harvest the microgreens in 7-12 days or when ready. Do not uproot.

Pro-Tips

  1. Soak the coir mat and one Magic Seed Quilt™ for 8-12 hrs, depending on the seed type. Some seeds might not need soaking.
  2. Mist using the spray bottle twice a day, to avoid seeds from drying up.
  3. Water the tray by adding 1/2 cup of PH balanced water every alternate day. Do not pour directly on the Magic Seed Quilt™.
  4. Black out the box using the slider tray for the first 3-5 days. Most microgreens should initially grow in darkness for optimal germination.
  5. Harvest the microgreens once in 7-12 days or when they are ready for consumption.
